Recommended CSS Books

You want to learn CSS? Like any computerese, you can’t expect to learn it all from just one book or one place. Get multiple books for any topic. Make sure the publishing date is recent, particularly for web related things. Here’s my list of can’t live withouts:

In no particular order. The Pocket Reference is just easy to keep handy to look up little details when they slip your mind. The in 10 minutes book is a good starter. (I wish Sams would stop the whole in 10 minutes / a week / 24 hours crap for titles, because none of the books implies that it is truly possible. It isn’t.)

Add these to your library and keep them near your computer desk. You’ll be jumping from book to book as you learn and figure out various techniques. The red Wrox books these days are generally very excellent. The beginner stuff they publish is also great, but they’re just too heavy to carry around.
