YOUos : a VERY Strange Experience.

I just tried something called YouOS
It is strange. Perhaps because it is clearly using buttloads of AJAX and the imagery looks like a modern Linux copying Windows bad GUI, but the responsiveness is like Windows 2.x running out of memory and approaching the BSOD.

It was mildly interesting, but left me with only the question, “Why?”
What could possibly be the point of it? It is not practical. It is barely functional. It is a web application trying to mimic a desktop GUI. That’s like trying to get my old Comodore64 to mimic a Mac OS. It conjures up images of fun or a good idea or something, but I know full well that it is pointless, useless, and a whole hell of a lot of work to put together.

Whoever built that/is building that, is a very talented person who needs serious guidance and direction.
