The recent tragedy at Virginia Tech is just one more high-profile reason why the USA needs to ban firearms. It’s time to join the rest of the civilized world. People don’t need guns in the USA unless they’re going to kill other people.

WHY SHOULD I BE PUNISHED AND HAVE MY RIGHTS TAKEN AWAY FOR THE ACTIONS OF A NUT? MILLIONS OF LAW ABIDEING FIREARM OWNERS ENJOY THE FREEDOM OF HUNTING AND SHOOTING SPORTS. MASS PUNISHMENT IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!
That’s just it. It is not a punishment. You have to get over that. It is a tool of violence that we do not and should not need. The fact of the matter is that it may be ok in Canada where people are shooting people less often, but the US does not prevent people from having nothing and devaluing human life.
People who have nothing also have nothing to lose in a society where some other people have seemingly anything and everything. This results very clearly in the devaluation of human life and of societal rules as a whole. If society does nothing for you, why would you do anything for it?
Yes my friend it is that simple. Not to mention the crazies do have just as easy access to guns as the disenfranchised and the law-abiding. Do you really think guns are so important to your life? That is a truly sad situation.
